We contracted John Rovedo as our general contractor to tear down and rebuild our existing 1850 sq ft house and replace it with a custom 5000sq ft home.  He oversaw the project from beginning to end.  The planning stared years before the actual construction, and John worked with us off and on until we were ready to start the actual project.  He also assisted us with a few issues that came up with the county, as ours was not a typical situation.  We have multiple residences on the property and are on well and septic systems.  He also weathered difficulties we had with an architect tat we let go early in the project.   The project was performed in a workman like manor; the job site was kept clean and organized throughout the project.  This was a requirement as we were living next to the construction site as were tow of our tenants.  The project took two months longer than originally planned, but there was no additional expense to us for this delay; we had a severely wet winter that affected the working days for the project. The quality of construction and work met our expectations and we always receive compliments on how beautiful our home is.  The house is a rustic French Country design inside and out.  The interior has many exposed rustic beams, slate, hardwood floors, granite counter tops etc.  It is absolutely high quality home.  We have not had any major problems with our house to date.  The few minor items that have come up were covered under warranty and dealt with efficiently and to our satisfaction. If we were to do this again, we would use John as our general contractor.  In fact, we have recommended him to friends and neighbors.  We have also asked for his assistance on smaller projects on our property since its completion, and expect to do so in the future.
